Mona Convent School: A Year of Growth and Achievement - 2023-24

The academic year 2023-24 commenced on April 4, with a total enrollment of 454 students and 15 teachers. Mona Convent School initiated the session with a vision centered on cleanliness and environmental awareness. The student distribution across classes reflects a diverse learning environment, with the highest enrollment in LKG and the lowest in class VI.

In terms of assessments, the school conducted four evaluations, including half-yearly and final examinations, achieving a commendable 100% pass rate. Notably, 79% of students attained first-division marks, indicating a strong academic performance.

Co-curricular activities played a significant role in the school’s holistic development approach. Initiatives included a moral values program, a poster competition on historical themes, a field trip to Anandi Water Park, and a cultural event for new admissions. Celebrations for national holidays, Teacher’s Day, and Diwali fostered a sense of community and patriotism among students. The annual sports day, held in honor of the founder, showcased students' talents through various athletic events.

The annual day celebration, themed "Our Culture and Heritage," highlighted students' achievements in both curricular and co-curricular domains, with notable guests in attendance. Parent-teacher meetings were emphasized as a vital component of effective education, promoting active parental involvement.

Looking ahead, the school is undergoing significant renovations funded by a donation from Bajaj Auto Limited, which includes the establishment of science and computer labs by September 2024. Additionally, a new block for pre-primary classes is set to open in the 2024-2025 session, designed to create an engaging learning environment. Plans are also in place to affiliate the school with the ICSE Board, expanding educational offerings up to class 12 in the future.
