Academic Progress
The academic session 2024–25 began on April 1, 2024, with 450 students and 35 teachers. The results of the previous academic year reflected the institution’s commitment to quality education:
- High School: 91.3% pass rate
- Intermediate: 89.7% pass rate
Several new teachers joined the institution this year, strengthening the teaching faculty across disciplines, while two senior lecturers retired after decades of dedicated service.
Celebrating the Founder’s Vision
The annual Founder’s Week (Nov 13–16, 2024) was celebrated with great enthusiasm. Students participated in poetry recitations, essay writing, rangoli, mehndi, and subject-based exhibitions in science, home science, and trade. The event highlighted the creative and academic talents of the students while honoring the legacy of the institution’s founder.
Promoting Innovation and Scientific Temper
The Science Department organized a series of engaging events, including the Science TLM Day and Science Exhibition under the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan. Students showcased innovative models such as Electricity Generation from Waste and Renewable Resource Utilization. Several students also participated at the district level in seminars and exhibitions, winning top positions and nominations for the INSPIRE Awards–MANAK Scheme.
Eco-Club and Environmental Awareness
The school’s Eco-Club played a vital role in promoting environmental consciousness through initiatives such as the #Plant4Mother campaign, LIFE Day Plantation Drive, and World Soil Day activities. These programs encouraged students to contribute to sustainability and respect for nature.
Teacher Learning and Innovation
As part of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 anniversary celebrations, the school organized Shiksha Saptah (July 22–28, 2024). Themed days such as Maths Day, Sports Day, Cultural Day, and Digital Initiative Day offered students opportunities to learn through experience, creativity, and collaboration.
Democracy and Civic Awareness
Through the Electoral Literacy Club (ELC) under the SVEEP Programme, students participated in voter awareness drives, poster making, oath ceremonies, and human chain formations. These activities helped instill a strong sense of civic duty and democratic participation among the youth.
Co-Curricular and Cultural Highlights
- Students actively participated in career counselling sessions organized by reputed institutions and government agencies.
- The school achieved distinction by winning the District School Athletics Meet trophy in the girls’ category.
- Celebrations of Independence Day, Republic Day, and Gandhi Jayanti reflected patriotic spirit through songs, rallies, and performances.
- Under the Mission Shakti initiative, awareness sessions on women’s safety, self-defense, and legal rights were conducted by police and social organizations.
- Cultural events such as the celebration of Subramania Bharati Jayanti and Basant Panchami promoted artistic expression and linguistic diversity.
Student Welfare and Recognition
Meritorious students were awarded for academic excellence, while welfare activities like winter sweater distribution and book provision supported underprivileged learners. A farewell ceremony for Class 12 students honored outstanding achievers with the title “Ms. Nari.”
